Bill Dietch is primarily a street photographer whose medium is black and white. His images of San Francisco reflect his experience as a former San Francisco cab driver and jazz musician who has lived and worked in the city for thirty five years.

Some of his photographic projects include the urban landscapes of San Francisco, Lisbon, Buenos Aires, Havana and the lower ninth ward in New Orleans, one hundred days after Katrina.

Print # 26 from his 9th Ward project was granted an award of excellence and published in the book Best of Photography Annual 2006 - presented by the editors of Photographers Forum Magazine. His work has also been published in Tattoo Highway, an online literary journal of prose, poetry and art.

An active participant in the San Francisco arts community, he exhibits in  local Bay Area galleries while continuing to develop existing and new portfolios focusing on the urban experience.

His work is included in private collections in the U.S., Europe and South America.
